Not pretty
The 498 is one of Ontarios best, not pretty but built solid and ready to go, sharp with a heavy leather sheath, one knife that gives a feeling of trust. Liked the first one so much l had to reorder. Best bang for your buck.

The genuine UMSC issue 13 ¼ inch bayonet features an 8 inch proprietary carbon steel blade and is packed full of features including a phosphate non-reflective finish and the USMC Logo stamped onto the Dynaflex® ergonomically grooved handle. The scabbard is made with a low noise signature polyester elastomer and features a ceramic-coated aluminum honing rod located on the back.
